CFR Regulations: Postal Employees Representing other Employees in EEO Cases-A complainant who is an employee of an agency shall have a reasonable amount of official time, if otherwise on duty, to prepare an EEO complaint and to respond to agency and EEOC requests for information. If the complainant has designated another agency employee as a representative, that employee shall have a reasonable amount of official time, if otherwise on duty, to prepare the complaint and respond to agency and EEOC requests for information. 29 CFR 1614.605 (b).

 

Reasonable Accommodation And Undue Hardship Under ADA by  EEOC -This Enforcement Guidance clarifies the rights and responsibilities of employers and individuals with disabilities regarding reasonable accommodation and undue hardship. Title I of the ADA requires an employer to provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities who are employees or applicants for employment, except when such accommodation would cause an undue hardship. This Guidance sets forth an employer's legal obligations regarding reasonable accommodation; however, employers may provide more than the law requires.

 

Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance Program -The OPM administers the Federal Employees' Group Life Insurance (FEGLI) Program. The FEGLI law, policies, and regulations issued by OPM, including those governing eligibility and benefits, are controlling in the event of conflict with these instructions. All postal employees, except those specifically excluded in ELM 531.3, or those who waive coverage, receive Basic Life Insurance coverage. Entitlement to basic life coverage qualifies them to elect optional life insurance coverage.
