The U.S. Postal Service plans to identify 2,000 post offices that will
be closed, with another 16,000 to possibly follow.
Based on federal requirements, the majority of post offices closing will
be money-losing post offices, post offices in close proximity to other
offices, stations and branches with only retail operations (window
service). This page will serve as a hub for reporting news of post
office closures across the nation. The links below are only for the post
offices that have been closed or in the process of closing. It will not
report on the post offices under consideration for closure. This page
will be updated as needed. If anyone knows of any post office that
closed this year, submit corrections to errors on this page can put the
information here
