APWU Criticizes Sen. McCain For Crossing Strikers’ Picket Line
APWU News
The APWU National Executive Board has adopted a resolution criticizing Sen. John McCain for crossing a picket line of striking members of the Writers Guild to appear on the Tonight Show at the end of January. “This callous act by Sen. McCain showed an utter disregard for the efforts of ordinary workers to exact just and fair results in collective bargaining,” the resolution said.
Members of the Writers Guild went on strike Nov. 5, seeking a contract that would give them an equitable share of the revenues from online and DVD distribution of the shows they create. On Feb. 12, Guild members voted to return to work, claiming their demands had been met.

McCain, wasn’t there to support that bunch of gay
writers. He was there to be on the tonight show. How can anyone compare that bunch of low class writers with other legitament Unions.

“legitament”…how about a “homofobes”? Along with the “sectsists” and the “kukolds”, they make up the “cream of the boys living that macho dream”.
Unfortunately it’s a nightmare for the women that have to live with them.

Did the APWU turn off their televisions in support of striking writers during the strike?
I think not.

Sick of the rhetoric. No, I do not support McCain but the APWU comes across like clowns with an agenda. Stop using the name of our Union to campaign for your floppy-eared ultra liberal.

The APWU has been going downhill ever since Burrus took office. To think he criticized Moe Biller. He wishes he was half the President Moe was ! The whole thing is a popularity contest. Weakest Union I’ve ever been in to date!!!I’ve been in IBEW and Boilermakers.
