USPS Flat Sequencing System Strategy
FSS will reduce city carrier work load by 85 per cent. Three-fourths of city carrier volume is flats, most City Carriers spend 2 hours in office and 6 hours on street with 30 minute fixed office time break. FSS will reduce office time and increase street time.
The Memorandum of Understanding included in the USPS, NALC proposed contract agreement states “FSS Implementation that stipulates that once FSS is fully implemented in a delivery unit, management will determine the methods to estimate the impact of FSS and adjust routes accordingly.

This will be huge. It’s simple, either you get with the program or leave and let someone else do it. No one is forcing you to work here, if you don’t like it C-YA!!!

So walking the beat an extra hour or two on the street every day equals an 85% REDUCTION in workload? Fuzzy PO math! But then again, it’s the easiest job ever when YOU don’t have to do it for a living!!!

yep, it’s an easy job if you are just looking with your hands akimbo…and pestering/harassing/bullying carriers for a lousy bonus…

Hmmmm!let’s see.Lets increase the carrier’s time on the street and expose them to increased hazards. Have them longer in the summer heat and the winter ice and cold.Take a lot of routes out of stations,less carriers to supervise.Oooooooooops!!!!! that means less supervisors. Maybe they should rethink this but they won’t.That’s just how idiotic they are.They get the bonus and we get the bone in the as&.
