New blog: Postal Workers United Against Tyranny
Postal workers should oppose Bush’s treason
is a group of American postal workers of all crafts committed to exposing the crimes of the Bush administration, specifically as they relate to his unlawful surveillance of innocent Americans without warrants, including the opening of our mail.
The blog was created by Jeff Richardson, a Tacoma, Washington letter carrier, a trade unionist, a peace activist, and a populist progressive with big dreams for America. According to his blog “He devotes much of his time helping to rebuild the American Labor Movement through his work with America in Solidarity and the Pierce County Central Labor Council.”

Ha! “progressive” he’s trying to hide the word”LIBERAL”
January 13th, 2007 at 11:37 pm
Only “Republicans” have made the word “Liberal” a negative meaning.

Why hide behind labels like Progressive and liberal. Call it was it is: Socialist. I know this wingnut of a carrier. His idea of 3 wisemen are Lenin, Marx and Stalin.

It wasn’t a problem when Clinton was doing it I guess.
January 14th, 2007 at 11:26 am
It’s not a new law. It’s always been that way.

I believe that Jeff should go to Iraq and discuss peace between the Shia na Sunni sects.
When we go in to retreive his body I promise not to laugh at his severed head!
January 14th, 2007 at 1:51 pm
Just name one person that was investigated falsely. With the opposition against Bush, that should be easy to do.
January 14th, 2007 at 3:11 pm
Pres. Bush is fighting enemies foreign and domestic. Lincoln had the same problem, as all real patriots do. Jeff needs to wise up, learn a little history, and rethink his dubious foray into politics

WAKE UP….President Bush and cohorts have destoyed the morale and reputation of the USA. By the way its the so called liberals and moderates that took to the picket lines in 1970 when our President Nixon turned a deaf ear to our union. I was on the line puttin it all on the line. Where were you?
January 14th, 2007 at 7:12 pm
WAKE UP YOURSELF……… President Bush is the only president with balls and a backbone to go after the bastards who have been attacking America since back in the early 80’s. Why don’t you and your liberal friends pull your head out of your A** and quit listening to the liberal slanted news media. No wonder we lost the war in Vietnam!
January 14th, 2007 at 7:54 pm
oh I am a liberal not really.
Just a retired carrier and local union stewart who knows issues and history. When did he grow testicles after his National Guard tour.
lol
January 15th, 2007 at 1:48 am
you can trace this all back to Jimmy Carter
when he tried to talk with the iranian hostage takers instead of saying you have 24 hours to release our people or we start bombing! it took a republican to get that done when Reagan said release them or we will bomb you back to the 7th century all you dems want to do is nothing!
January 15th, 2007 at 7:05 am
At least Bush was in the National Guard learning enough to fly a fighter while Clinton was in England marching against the USA and planning his denial about inhaleing. Give me a break with ur Bull!

Re: Wake up, Lifer
In 1970 I was flying “Dustoff” missions in Viet Nam and Cambodia. Saving Amercian, Aussie, Rok’s, Arvn’s, and even a few Nva. We did not loose the Viet Nam war. A Democrat controlled congress cut off funds to South Viet Nam, refused to enforce the Paris peace accords (signed by the USA and No. Viet Nam,)and thus sold out our alllies by treaty, the South Vietnamese, and not least of all our national honor. Richard Nixion would never have abandoned our friends to the Commies. Now a new Democrat controlled congress is trying to get itself up for doing the same to the Iraqis who doing most of the dying as did the Vietnamese. Seems Democrat leadership since 1964 on haven’t had the fortitude to finish a fight. And by the way, anyone who strapped himself into a fighter jet in the 1960s’ or 70s’, was taking his life in his own hands, especially in the National Guard which had the castoffs and wornout birds the regular armed forces no longer flew. That’s history for you, full of inconveinient facts. Americans have the right to shoot off their mouths, but patiots do the dying to defend that right, and their morale is hurt only traitors in positions of power who have neither honor or courage. George W. Bush has more courage and honor in his little finger than any war protestor will ever khow.

Hey Jeffy:
Treason? Hope you can prove it!
January 16th, 2007 at 3:59 pm
You Republiweasels really need a clue. G.W. will be rated by the tick-tock of history as the single largest source of ill conceived law and short minded rule making ever! Your statements almost without exception seem to be bullet points from a Rush Limpbone show! Lacking factual basis, but when has that stopped a Republican? Never. Nixon was busy screwing us all didn’t give a shit about Vietnam, Reagan didn’t do shit for hostages(except welcome them home and take the credit), although I admit to surprise that you didn’t find a way to blame Clinton. F*K you and your proferred patriotic posturing, Did my time too and Bush is still a sack of Sh*t. You are sheep, and nothing more if you cannot see Bush’s actions for what they are. BAAAA!
January 16th, 2007 at 11:00 pm
Smitty you are a moron.
What President suspeneded the writ of Habius corpus; signed an order to allow Federal troops to enter search and siese without warrent and closed down any publications that critisized his policies?
That was lincoln!
Did you also know that FDR was threatened with impeachment by his own Party because of the lend lease program and the first ever peace-time draft?
Wake up in 20 years when history not your narrow pin head has made the determination on ole W ok?

IF the negative posters are honestly postal workers they could be from my experience only those influenced by church, region, orgnanized military brainwashing(since Nixon era it has been very deliberately anti-democratic and anti-Democrats). Some still support the unions and union busters by some weird mental gymnastics. I urge one and all to conserve blind rage for those actually doing you harm and not be in so much awe of balatant political frauds and crooks(aka, the hijacked GOP main wing, immoral hypocrite preachers and lords of corporate greed). If someone gives more a blast about political philosphers and team titles go to some out of touch hate group and enjoy. This seems an honest effort to DO something for ourselves and our country that is the definition of union, worker and American citizen. The only “red” flag menace is itch of otherwise passive peasants to have useless, tyranny affirming rage, which is what any freedom hating dictatorship or dishonest
cause needs. And punish the good and kick the scapegoat and believe in liars and propagandists rather than your active union brothers and sisters. This is my last waste of breath. We should be discussing abuse of the postal system in violating citizen rights by mere declaration of the president in insertion into a bill about postal re-structuring, the anthrax cover-up, the fate of the USPS at the merciful hands of favored private sector despoilers, our position now almost as THE sole and largest effective union while the anti-union world closes in around us, the abuse of veterans and the military by our war profiteering frauds whom almost all living veterans have suffered from (e.g.) Bush family funding of the OTHER side since WWI along with anti-democratic, anti-union forces since day one, and why aroused postal workers can’t even find time to read or vote on their own contract.

You Buddy Clinton. And as for those stallworth Democrats..who is the only Senator in American history who actually had a part in the death of a person?

The Postal Service Office of Inspector General forwarded your question to our office. In response to your request for an opinion, there is no conflict of interest for a legislative official to lease property to the Postal Service. !!!!!!Wow thats strange they can get more public money via the american public through the post office which they make decisions regarding same and it not be construed as campaign finance money or conflict of interest in any way shape or form ??? Thats amazing !!!! While the elderly starve and
often barely get by politicians have no remorse stealing money from the public they so represent as public servants and forcing the elderly to pinch and scrape as they go on living high on the hog reaping beaucoupe benefits during and after office !!! Wow is that the american way or what !!!
