RETIREMENT SEMINAR ONLINE
Go to LiteBlue for retirement planning information
Anytime is the right time and anywhere is the right place for retirement planning, now that resources are available around the clock at LiteBlue.
Whether you’re covered by the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), CSRS Offset or the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS), the seminar series developed by Headquarters Compensation can help you be better prepared for your transition into retirement.
Segments include information on determining when you can retire, reading your annuity estimate, continuing your health and life insurance, making sure your military service counts toward retirement and much more. An online workbook containing charts, examples and other information is attached to each segment for viewing online, downloading or printing.
USPS is making it convenient for employees to get retirement information as part of its PostalPEOPLE HR initiative. All it takes it an Internet connection and a few clicks of a mouse.
Go to https://liteblue.usps.gov. You’ll need your employee ID and USPS PIN to access LiteBlue. Click on the My Life tab and then click “Retirement Seminar Online” under the My Benefits heading.
In addition to online access at LiteBlue, you’ll soon be able to borrow this video presentation on a DVD so you can view it on a computer monitor or television screen. The DVD loan package also will include a hard copy of the online workbook. Watch for an announcement in Link when the DVDs become available.
If you have questions about the retirement seminar information, call the HR Shared Services Center at 1-877-477-3273, option 5.

For retirement to be one of the most important decision employees will make, I think its awful that we have to do it versus a computer. I do not feel comfortable about it at all.

What I mean is handling your retirement over the phone with contracted people who probably don’t know any more than me. They will probably be reading from a manual. DONT LIKE IT ONE BIT.
